Background:

Håkon Bugge worked for Norsk Data and Dolphin ICS until 1994, where he served as Systems Architect. He worked closely with the design of Dolphin's cache coherent cache&memory controller used in Data General's NumaLine series of computers. He also worked closely with Dolphin's partners to define the bussed version of SCI, i.e. B-Link. In 1994, Bugge started in Kongsberg Informasjonskontroll, where he developed a SPARC based SCI-cluster used in commercial Synthetic Aperture Radar processing. This work served as a basis for a new company, Scali,
http://www.scali.com, which was founded in 1997. Since then, he has served as VP Product Development in Scali, which develops and integrates cluster management solutions for scalable clusters.

Lectures:

  • Scalability issues with Shared Address Space cluster architectures

  • Cons and Pros of a direct SCI network

  • Fault tolerant routing in a 2D SCI Torus
